What file types are accepted in WordPress?

WordPress allows you to upload the following file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf, doc, ppt, odt, pptx, docx, pps, ppsx, xls, xlsx, key, tif, tiff, avi, mpg, wmv, mov, mp3, wav, ogg, mp4, m4v, wma, midi, flv.

Is there a limit to the file size I can upload?

By default, WordPress has a maximum upload file size of 2MB. However, our sites use a compression tool, allowing you to upload images up to 5MB in size. If you try to upload a file that exceeds this limit, you may receive an error message or the file may fail to upload.

What if my file size is larger than the limit?

If your file size is larger than the maximum limit, we recommend resizing the image to a maximum dimension of less than 2500px (in either height or width on the largest side).
